Agellus Capital announced today the creation of Bluejack Fire & Life Safety through a series of recent acquisitions. Agellus has combined Texas-based FirePro Tech LLC, New York-based Chase Fire, and California-based AAA Fire Protection Services. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the combined company will have a national footprint, positioning it to emerge as a leading provider of fire and life safety services.

FirePro Tech LLC, founded in 2014, primarily provides inspection, testing, repair and maintenance of fire suppression and alarm systems. “We chose the Agellus team because they shared our entrepreneurial culture and focus on growth,” said Oscar Rios and Kory Winters, the co-founders of FirePro.

Chase Fire, founded by Artem Perchenok in 2006, focuses almost exclusively on fire extinguisher services, with a growing kitchen suppression segment. “I saw a great opportunity to grow Chase with the shared resources of the Bluejack platform that Agellus was building,” explained Perchenok.

AAA Fire Protection, founded in 1974, provides primarily maintenance and repair services for fire sprinkler systems, commercial kitchen grease exhaust systems, and portable extinguisher suppression. “We were courted by a number of private equity investors, but we chose Agellus based on their concentrated focus on essential services and enthusiastic references from previous founders they had partnered with,” said Brent and Brian Patterson, the second-generation founders of AAA.

CEO of Bluejack Fire & Life Safety Phil McVey remarked, “We are excited to be collaborating with the talented founders of FirePro, Chase, and AAA, who have built their businesses into regional market leaders.”

Agellus Capital Co-founder and Managing Partner Jeff Aiello said, “The combination of these great businesses and great people will set the foundation for a best-in-class national platform in the fire and life safety industry.”

Solomon Partners served as financial advisor to Agellus Capital during the creation of the combined company. The Potomac Company (potomaccompany.com) served as advisor to Chase Fire. Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP served as legal counsel to Agellus Capital.
