Guidepost Solutions, a global leader in domestic and international investigations, compliance, monitoring, and security and technology consulting, today announced that Richard P. Sullivan rejoined Guidepost Solutions as a senior managing director, based in New York City.

Most recently, Sullivan served for 11 years as executive director and global head of investigations at JPMorgan Chase. He oversaw complex domestic and global investigations into financial crimes, internal and external fraud matters, electronic crimes, and other incidents impacting the institution. Sullivan also developed and launched the construction monitoring group, which oversees all the institution’s global projects.

"Rich’s extensive experience leading complex investigations and construction integrity monitoring projects for one of the largest financial institutions in the world will be instrumental in delivering impactful results that meet the needs of our clients,” said Julie Myers Wood, CEO of Guidepost Solutions. “He will once again be an invaluable asset to our firm.”

From 2011 to 2013, Sullivan served as managing director at Guidepost Solutions, leading investigative projects. Prior to his initial tenure at the firm, he spent nearly three decades in the public sector. Five of those years were spent with the New York City Department of Investigation (DOI), which provides oversight of the city’s 300+ agencies and 300,000 employees. As a DOI deputy commissioner, he spearheaded investigations involving fraud, corruption, mismanagement, and other unethical behavior. Earlier in his career, Sullivan oversaw the Claims Bureau of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Long Island Railroad. He began his career with the New York City Police Department, retiring as a first-grade detective.

Throughout his career, Sullivan has been honored with numerous awards for his work in law enforcement and public service, including the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Award and three Department of Justice Awards for Public Service.
