IonQ (NYSE: IONQ), a leader in the quantum computing and networking industries, today announced several accolades recognizing its commercial success and workplace excellence. IonQ has been named to Forbes’ prestigious 2025 list of “America’s Most Successful Mid-Cap Companies,” earned recognition from Built In on multiple “2025 Best Places to Work” lists and was named one of Investor’s Business Daily’s (IBD) best companies of 2024. These accolades highlight IonQ’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and delivering real-world impact through enterprise-grade quantum solutions.

The Forbes honor acknowledges IonQ as one of America’s most successful mid-cap companies, underscoring IonQ’s trajectory of innovation and its continued leadership in advancing quantum computing technology. IonQ is one of only 100 companies chosen for the 2025 list.

“We are honored to be featured on Forbes’ America’s Most Successful Mid-Cap Companies and IBD’s Best Companies lists,” said Peter Chapman, President and CEO of IonQ. “These achievements are a testament to the exceptional work of our team, whose dedication and ingenuity are driving the quantum computing future.”

In addition, leading tech company recruiting platform Built In recognized IonQ on three of its 2025 Best Places to Work lists:

  • 100 Best Places to Work in Washington, DC
  • 100 Best Midsize Places to Work in Washington, DC

Built In’s annual awards program evaluates and honors companies based on outstanding compensation and benefits packages, as well as initiatives supporting remote and flexible work employee wellness and other best-in-class culture programs.

“This recognition from Built In reflects our commitment to fostering a dynamic workplace where talented people can drive quantum advancements and innovations to solve the world’s most complex problems,” Chapman continued. “We believe our people are our greatest asset, and we are proud to see our culture and values celebrated in this way.”

All of these recognitions cap a landmark year of tremendous growth for IonQ, as the company has further solidified its position as a leader in quantum computing and networking. In just the past month, IonQ announced a new advanced hybrid quantum computing application workflow with NVIDIA CUDA-Q, enterprise-grade IonQ Quantum OS and Hybrid Services suite, and its first quantum computer and innovation center in Europe in partnership with QuantumBasel. IonQ also announced its acquisition of Qubitekk, a leader in quantum networking solutions.

The company was also included in the prestigious “Newsweek Excellence 1000 Index 2025,” a global ranking that recognizes the most innovative and customer-centric companies across industries that are balancing financial success with ethical practices, social responsibility, and global sustainability.

About Forbes’ America’s Most Successful Mid-Cap Companies

Forbes’ annual list recognizes companies that are driving innovation and delivering results in their respective industries. To create the list, Forbes used data from FactSet to screen more than 700 companies with a market value between $2 billion and $10 billion and only considered companies that also had positive sales growth over the past 12 months and a share price of at least $5. Financial institutions, REITs, utilities, and limited partnerships were excluded, as were companies that have been public for less than one year. The top 100 ranking is based on earnings growth, sales growth, return on equity, and total stock return for the last five years, with more weight given to the latest year’s data in the ranking. All data is as of November 27, 2024. For the full list, visit www.forbes.com/lists/best-mid-cap-companies.
