IP Infusion, a global leader in open networking solutions, today announced that its innovative network operating system, OcNOS®, achieved MEF 3.0 Carrier Ethernet certification for E-Line, ELAN, and E-Tree, demonstrating the company’s conformance to rigorous specifications established by MEF, the industry’s defining authority. OcNOS is the first Open Networking NOS to receive MEF certification, showcasing its capability to provide seamless, standards-based Ethernet software services with reliable interoperability and performance features.

MEF is a global industry association of network, cloud, security, and technology providers accelerating enterprise digital transformation. MEF 3.0 certifications offer a method for industry organizations to confirm compliance with industry-led MEF 3.0 standards for services, and the technology used to enable those services, thereby accelerating their product development, sales cycles, and service implementations.

The certification process has successfully validated IP Infusion’s OcNOS (OcNOS-SP-PLUS) software running on the UfiSpace S9510-28DC white box switch. This achievement confirms the system's compliance with MEF standards for Carrier Ethernet (CE) services, including E-Line (EPL, EVPL), E-LAN (EP-LAN, EVP-LAN), and E-Tree (EP-Tree, EVP-Tree).

“Congratulations to IP Infusion on its latest MEF 3.0 Carrier Ethernet certification,” said Nan Chen, President of MEF. “Companies who purchase from a certified MEF 3.0 service provider can have confidence they will receive services that conform to MEF’s industry-leading global standards. Companies like IP Infusion understand the value that certification provides — simplified, pre-validated functionality for buyers and simplified, frictionless implementation and partnering.”

IP Infusion is at the forefront of open networking innovation empowering network operators with greater flexibility in selecting solutions to scale their networks, ultimately reducing costs and providing shorter lead times. Widely regarded as the most mature open networking network operating system for service providers and data centers, OcNOS’s achievement of MEF certification is a testament to IP Infusion’s commitment and dedication to delivering high-quality solutions.

“Securing MEF certification for OcNOS is a significant milestone that underscores our dedication to delivering high-quality open networking solutions,” said Atsushi Ogata, President and CEO of IP Infusion. “This certification not only enhances our competitive edge but also assures our customers that they are investing in a robust, future-ready technology that can drive innovation and efficiency in their networks.”
